Coffee & True Crime Q&A With Jo | Part Two

So it's November, my birthday month and I thought I would post part two of my Q&A (here's part one). I didn't get to answer all of the questions that I got the last time so I thought I would include them in this post.

Hope you enjoy!

Q1, Have you ever met Professor David Wilson?

No, but he's one of my idols. I love his documentaries and his books. I wish that I had gone to Birmingham University where he lectures. I could listen to him talk all day, such a fascinating and intelligent man.

Q2, Which true crime book are you reading right now?

Mindhunter by John Douglas & Mark Olshaker

Q3, Do you have a favourite trial?

I've always found the Ted Bundy trial interesting, the fact that he was allowed to represent himself was an absolute joke and utter disrespect to the victims and their families. It was a farce. I also found the Jeffrey Dahmer trial interesting especially watching Jeffrey, the lack of emotion. There was a moment when a relative of one of the victim's charged at Jeffrey and he didn't seem to flinch or show any emotion at all.

The Jodi Arias trial was crazy. One of the ones that also shocked me to my core was the Chris Watts case, when the details emerged that he had murdered his children and pregnant wife before dumping their bodies. I felt sick at the details and it was sheer horror. I haven't covered that case because I felt that pretty much everyone in the true crime community has covered it so there's so many fantastic blogs, podcasts and videos out there for anyone who wants to learn more about the case.

Q4, What do you snack on whilst you are doing your research?

I drink endless cups of tea, sometimes vanilla cappuccino's or Strawberry and lime Kopperberg drinks. I might snack on chocolate but it's mostly drinks. I might have a hot chocolate with whipped cream and vegetarian marshmallows if I'm really in the mood for it.

Q5, Would you collaborate on a true crime book or blog post with another true crimer?

I would love too. I love meeting other people who are interested in true crime.

Q6, Which true crime documentary shocked you the most?

Talhotblond! That was incredible! I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through. The more that it went on the worse that it got and the twist and turns all the way through it. I was shocked. I won't say anything in case you haven't seen it but go check it out.

Q7, What do you think of Mindhunter?

I'm obsessed with it! I sat up until 5am when the second series was released on Netflix, I watched the whole series in one sitting and I watched the first series twice so yeah...I'm obsessed!

Q8, Have you ever committed a crime?

I once stole a packet of strawberry shoelaces (sweets) out of a shop when I was about 5.

Q9, How do you find your cases?

I have a list of cases that I've always been interested in researching and I have a list that some of my subscribers have requested. I just pick whatever case I am drawn to that week.

Q10, Who is the worst female murderer in your opinion?

Katherine Knight! I might even write about her in a future post so keep your eyes peeled for that.
