March Faves, Crying At Still Game & Thoughts On The Wendy Williams Situation

It's that time again when the favourites post goes up and I'd written down a list of all my favourite products and TV shows and movies this month but I can't find it so you'll have to bare with me as I try to use my memory (which is usually like a sieve lol)

If you follow my blog you'll know that I'm a Champneys fan and I'd finished my bottle of 'Cloud Nine Indulgent Body Lotion' so I decided (because I'm so addicted to the scent, it's glorious!) to buy something else from that range and being a fan of body butters (so fabulous for toning the skin and reducing the appearance of stretch marks, scars etc), I decided to go for the Champneys Cloud Nine Indulgent Body Butter 300ml (retails from Boots at £8.50)

I'm still loving the 'Bondi Sands' tanning range and I'd run out of my dark tan foam ( I always prefer to call it mousse) so I ordered the Ultra Dark foam (retails from Superdrug at £17.00) and I used some of it last night (it arrived yesterday so i didn't get the time to take a picture but the bottle looks the same as the 'dark' one)

So far, so good! I've got a nice bronzed glow to my skin which isn't too crazy. I'm interested in what their gradual tans are like? Have you tried them? I'm thinking of ordering them next.
The first of the fabulous subscription boxes that I was kindly sent for review (Feel Good Beauty Box). I've written all about it in this post so check that out if you're a beauty and pampering obsessive like me. I loved it and I've been using all the gorgeous products that were included in the box (and the chocolate didn't last five minutes either).
And the second subscription box which is also new on the scene and you'll love the idea behind it, is the 'MeriBee Me' box. I've gone into more detail about what's included in the MeriBee Me boxes and the brains behind the brand in this recent post

I've gotten back into drinking smoothies again, I don't know if it's because of this time of year but I was obsessed with them last spring/summer. If you're looking for a fabulous smoothie blender that's easy to use and fuss free, check out this one that I bought from Amazon early last year: Breville VBL136 Blend Active Personal Blender

It's trending as a No 1 best seller on Amazon and I'm not surprised. It's so easy to use, easy to clean and it even blends ice. It also comes with two large drink bottles. It's currently priced at £24.90 with free delivery for UK customers. get yourself one, you won't be disappointed!

By the way, I wasn't asked or paid to review the blender, I just love it so much and think it's a great bargain.

Wendy Williams (Controversial US talk show host) has been in the press a lot over the past week and you know how these media things go, you don't know what is true and what is made up just to sell more papers and get more clicks. I'd heard that Wendy's husband had been having an affair for years and that his mistress had just given birth.

Wendy had taken some time off of her talk show stating that she had issues with her Thyroid (she suffers from Graves Disease) but the rumours were growing bigger and bigger. She's been back presenting her show and looks great but the last few days she admitted on air that she had been living in a sober house as she was having struggles with drug and alcohol addiction (she had previously had substance abuse issues in the past).

I felt really bad for her and people were saying it was due to the stress over all of this stuff with her husband. Wendy has made a career out of throwing shade at a number of famous people and the attitude towards this situation is divided, some have sympathy, some think it's a case of 'you reap what you sow'.

Me personally, I feel bad for her. I don't know what the real story is but it's clear that Wendy is going through a really hard time and to go on and present her show (she's very good at masking her feelings and pretending that everything is ok), in one way I think it's a sign of strength but on the other side I think she needs a break but I can understand, the show is her baby and she probably worried that she would lose her fan base.

Whatever the real story is, I hope she gets better soon.

I was going to list what I've been loving on Netflix etc (remember I told you I lost my list?) and I still can't remember, I'll include it in a future post if I ever find it. I've been watching a lot of things lately on all these different channels and streaming services that I can't remember what was what.

I saw the 'Stranger Things' clip and I'm excited for that starting in July. I'm just waiting now for them to announce the new series of 'Mindhunter'.

Last night I watched the last ever episode of 'Still Game' (it's a Scottish comedy show that has been running for 17 years, more details about it here) and I was bawling my eyes out at the end. I've seen every single episode over the years, It really is an end of an era now that it's come to an end.

Well, that's my favourites for March with a little bit of rambling thrown in. What have you been loving lately? let me know in the comments below or send me a tweet. See you in the next post x
